TOMORROWS TOPS AND FLOPS

In the 2007-08 season Cesc Fàbregas, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney finished in the top 3 of the TFR YOUNG GUNS ranking. Since then they have dominated world football.
Others talents in the 2007-08 ranking, like Ryan Babel, Scott Carson and Bojan Krkic, never really became the stars, they were expected to become.
The annual TFR YOUNG GUNS ranking is a study of future stars entering the global football scene. But it is also the story of promising talents, who were unable to meet with expectations.

WHERE DID THEY GO?

Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher, Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano. Liverpool had a dream team in the late 00's. But a few years later all the stars had left for other challenges.
And Liverpool is just one example. Players from a lot of the best teams have spread all over the world after years of glory and awards.
TFR give you the opportunity to check out the best teams in the world since 2007-08. We provide you with their squads and with links to the players. Where did they go, and how well did they do?
