(TFR) is a rankings system based only on statistics. Just like the the systems ranking tennis players (ATP) and pro cyclists (UCI).

The first TFR rankings were based on the results of the 2007-08 season.

The clubs, coaches and players are rewarded for winning games. Draws are also rewarded but only with one third of a victory. Results in high competitive tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League or the FIFA World Cup are heavier weighted than results from less competitive tournaments such as the smaller domestic leagues.

The system also rewards players of the best defensive and attacking teams. Many goals scored will reward attacking players of a team and few goals conceded will reward the defensive forces - including the goalkeeper.
Finally the system rewards players for scoring goals and providing assists as well as tackles, interceptions, clearances and successful passings.

Every year in August we release the annual rankings of the best players (top 300), teams (top 50),
and the best coaches, top scorers, top assists and young guns (all top 30).
