DID YOU KNOW ?

Coming from a family steeped in politics and law, Marcelo Bielsa decided to break with tradition by dedicating his life to the sport of football.

In 1980, after retiring from playing football at the age of 25, Bielsa decided to start a career as a football manager. His first assignment was coaching the youth sections of Argentine club Newell's Old Boys.

In 2001 he was crowned World's Best National Team Coach of the Year by IFFHS.
