DID YOU KNOW ?

Daniel Alves was named third best player of the tournament as Brazil won the 2003 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

He left Sevilla FC in tears and said that he would love to join the club again. He said that he came to Sevilla as a boy and were leaving as a man. He broke down in tears at the press conference.

His transfer to FC Barcelona made him the world's most expensive right-back and the third most expensive player bought by Barça.

As of August 8 Daniel Alves was the most expensive player in the Summer 2008 transfer window, but his record was broken when Real Madrid forward Robinho opted to go to Manchester City on deadline day, for a fee of around €40 million.
